Merlin Blaine Nuallian was born to Hunith Anderson and Balinor Nuallian in a small farm village of Ealdor. Balinor was the brother of Maleficent, making Merlin half fae. He is a warlock, the ward and apprentice of Gaius, and the best friend and manservant of King Arthur. He is also the last Dragonlord in existence and a creature of the Old Religion.Early life had him learning to hunt at a young age. His focus was on the bow and crossbow, mainly. Though he has a few skills with a sword. It was during one of his hunting adventures, he became best friends with Will. A boy who also grew up in his village. The two became close and even had at one point considered becoming more than just friends, but nothing ever came of their experimentations.
Because Merlin was born with magic, his mother grew worried of the village outing him. It was hard for him to keep his gifts a secret and many of the village folks were weary of the boy. So Hunith contacted her brother in Camelot and sent her only son there.After leaving his childhood home for Camelot, Merlin became the manservant of Prince Arthur after saving him. From then on, Merlin began to protect and guide Arthur on his journey to the throne; according to the Great Dragon, it was his destiny to do so. Unlike most sorcerers, Merlin was born with the ability to use magic and later on inherited the Dragonlord ability after his father's death.According to the Great Dragon, Merlin’s birth had been prophesied by many cultures. The Druids, for example, referred to him as “Emrys”. Merlin was also destined to become the greatest and most powerful sorcerer to ever live, and to use his powers to help Arthur reunite the kingdom of Albion by uniting the Old Ways with the new. He was friends with Shirya, the true priestess of the Triple Goddess and of Ziraz Adriel along with his mate Shira.Meeting Ziraz during a quest which separated him from the prince, he was found injured by the Druid elder, Ziraz and brought to the safe haven in the Feorre Mountains. There his wife, Shira healed him and taught him how to control his magic. He spent two weeks among them until he was brought back to Camelot. During this time, he had a tattoo placed on his shoulder blades of the Druid symbol for family to cover scarring from being whipped by Uther in the beginning of his services.Merlin is also known as the little shit due to his uncanny ability to get under people's skins and his constant need for banter with Arthur. He is stubborn and can be loud, but overall he is an introvert. His nature is even more apparent when he disguises himself as Dragoon the Great.After Arthur’s death, Merlin waited for what seems to be centuries later. Nuallian did fall on hard times when his depression got the better of him. Turning to drugs for a time, he grew erratic and his memory because too vivid. This drove him to dangerous stunts so he would reunite with Arthur in Avalon but his immortality proved stronger.
After he pulled himself out of his funk, he started to write down his adventures. He is a published young adult author, writing tales of his life with the former king. No one believes his stories to be true, but few try to pry where he gets his inspiration. One of his books, however, hits the best sellers list and attracts all sorts of company.

A year before happening in Camelot, Kilgharrah tells her about a prophecy spoken by druids of a love that would save the once and future king from his bane, but also would fall for Emrys causing her to have to choose between the two. He told her she was the one foretold and the fate of the land was tied to her. Slowly, she came to resent this. Thinking one should hold their own destiny.Sometime later, Amnell's hand was given to the cruel king Odin, she finally confronted Sarrum and was thrown in the stocks in chains. Not before learning the king was going to break off ties with Camelot and Uther Pendragon. Kahlan only escaped after being forced to use her gift of confession and bend the will of one of the guards to free her. Fleeing for dear life, bandits fell on her - causing her injury. She fled and ran for Camelot's territory. It was there she was found in the woods passed out.

After being crowned king, Eragon relocated the capital from Ilirea to the seafaring city of Teirm. The two bonded instantly, and Shadow urged him to flee, warning that he was not yet ready to face his fate.As Ryan attempted to escape, he ran into Anges again. Tragically, Anges fell to her death, impaled by a jagged structure that jutted out from the swamp waters. This incident ignited a war against the Wrrithrches, led by Anges's daughter, THURna. Filled with a thirst for revenge and indifferent to the prophecy or the fate of her people, Thurena vowed to seek recompense.Over a few weeks, Ryan was trained in magic by Shadow. During this time, he learned of THERna's plan to enslave humanity, using them as both an energy source and a food supply. An ancient legend told that the Wrrithrches were born from rage and despair. Out of this despair, a hero emerged to fight back, leading to the rise of a family line—Ryan's family. As the last born of the Wickerds, he stepped into the prophecy. It was foretold that he would destroy the Wrrithrches and their world, Beltran. Slowly he accepted his fate and came to rationalize his morals. He wanted to reason with her because of his beliefs. Everyone deserves a chance to avoid abandonment like he did as a baby.After mastering the basics of magic, Ryan decided to confront THERna and put an end to her plan. When he arrived, she had already opened a portal to Earth. Sticking to his principles, he attempted to reason with her in hopes she would surrender. However, she deceived him and launched a destruction spell in his direction. In a moment of quick thinking, Ryan deflected the spell back at her army, ultimately destroying her and her world.Later, it is revealed that Ryan survived after Shadow pulled him through the portal gate to Earth. He discovers that his family did not abandon him, as he originally thought. Instead, they sent him to Earth to protect him from Agnes. Agnes found them and they sacrificed their own lives in the process. This also led to Shadow being imprisoned. Shadow admits to having been forced to bring Ryan back to Beltran. He explains that Beltran is their homeworld. Shadow reveals that he is Ryan's Daemon, and was destined to be bonded with him.After grieving for his family and community, Ryan begins to move forward and enrolls in school. He is now surrounded by friends and appeared happy. Confident in his newly discovered self, he keeps his adventures to himself. Ryan believes that this newfound happiness is meant solely for him. He realizes that everyone is unique in their own way. Meanwhile, Shadow watches over him, and it is revealed that the narrator is his father, looking down on him from the afterlife.
